If you have been arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol or Drugs (DUI), you could face a variety of serious penalties – including jail time and the suspension or revocation of your driver’s license. The severity of these penalties can depend on your blood alcohol level, your age, your prior record, whether you were involved in an accident, if you had minors in the car at the time and your manner of driving at the time of the arrest. In addition, the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) will seek to suspend or revoke your driver’s license irrespective of the result in criminal court. Some of these rights are time sensitive and require setting a hearing within ten (10) days of your arrest. Derek Ewin has literally handled hundreds of these types of cases. An experienced attorney, like Mr. Ewin, can help you navigate through the courts and DMV and greatly increase your likelihood of getting the best possible outcome.

These crimes include things such as reckless evading, hit and run with injury, negligent burning, felony vandalism, threats, auto theft, serious felonies, violent felonies, and more. Some of these charges are called wobblers. Wobblers can be charged as either a felony or a misdemeanor. Derek Ewin has worked on all of these types of charges over his career. Derek Served our family excellently and I would recommend him and his services to anyone I know. We recently needed an attorney for a serious family issue and was nervous about who to contact to guide us through the legal process. I came across Dereks website and gave him a call. He personally answered the phone and after hearing his voice and a brief conversation I felt we had made the correct choice in attorneys. He was very knowledgeable but also very easy to speak with and addressed every question we had and was available when every we needed him. He was a blessing when we needed it the most and he has brought peace of mind back into our home. I would highly recommend him to anyone I know who needs the services that he provides.Aurora
